Teen Life
My name is Daniel and I am 13 years old. I am originally from Bogota, Colombia but now live in
Malaysia. For the first three years of my life I lived in Bogota and
Ecuador. At the age of three I moved to Florida in the
US. I lived there for approximately 8 and a half years. I now live in an international community in
Malaysia. I am a nice guy who loves to do sports. I play tennis as a competitive sport and train with the School tennis Team as 3rd best. As for my hobbies I play tennis, soccer, I skateboard and I love to hang out with my friends. Over all my favorite two are tennis and skateboarding with my friends. In order to do these two sports you need a tennis racket and of course a skateboard; I have two Pro Team Babolat rackets and my skateboard is made up of a Chocolate (brand) deck, Royal (brand) trucks ( the thing that holds up the wheels), Speed Demon (brand) wheels, and Speed Demon APEC 7 bearings. Although I love sports, I definitely can not forget music. I am a Grade Six level Piano player and am currently learning the complete Sonata No.3, K545 in C major by Mozart. As for musical taste I love all kinds of music specially rock. My favorite bands at the moment would definitely fall under classic (AC/DC, Guns n’ Roses), punk-emo (Fall Out Boy, AFI, Taking Back Sunday), and alternative rock ( The Hives, Billy Talent, AudioSlave). No moving on to family. I have two parents and a sister. My parents are both originally Colombian and so is my sister although she only lived there for one year of her life. My parents are both 42 and love to play tennis. My dad’s hobbies are playing tennis and reading. My mom on the other hand loves to cook and paint. She actually paints and sells her paintings in art exhibitions. A couple years back she had one in Paris and one in
Geneva. My sister is 10 years old and goes to the same school as me. She owns two hamsters (
Chester and Nacho) and her hobbies are tennis and hanging out with her friends. My sister plays the piano as well and is a grade three- four and does not have to be forced to play more than me. She enjoys it and I don’t really enjoy it. (Most of the time). But on the other hand she has to be forced to play tennis where as I don’t. Our whole family has been to every continent except for
Antarctica, we al love to travel and see new cultures and try new foods. There are many problems happening now a day in the world. Many of them coming from bad decisions, for example pollution and Global Warming; if people where actually concerned about the environment I’m sure that they would put a little more effort into not littering, recycling, and living healthier lives. Another big problem is definitely money and poverty. When going to war some people don’t realize that money matters! Not to be offensive but I was against the war in Iraq, I understand if they wanted to go in and get Saddam Husein but they ended up using trillions of dollars!! The initial budget was a couple of billions of dollars which is a lot but trillions, that’s a lot!! Well That pretty much sums me and my tastes up.

Hi! My name is Paula and I’m from Cartagena, Colombia too from Mr. Hide’s class. I’m interested in making my project about global warming and pollution too because that not only affects the enviroment but also humans because we can get skin cancer and stuff like that. I also think that the money the goverments spend in wars is ridiculous because instead of using it for things that are really important like making the country better, they spend trillions of dollars in wars.
